University of South Wales, UK. Osama Khan has joined USW as the university’s new vice-chancellor and chief executive. Osama joins from Aston University, where he was deputy vice-chancellor (academic). With more than 27 years of teaching experience in finance and leadership roles across UK universities, he has a strong track record in curriculum innovation, lifelong learning, employability, and digital transformation. Upon his appointment, Osama said: “I am genuinely honoured to be joining this community. Over the past few months, I have spent time listening, learning and reflecting. I have read about our history and our achievements. But what has stayed with me most is the people, the care, the commitment and the quiet determination to make a difference. And that matters because universities like ours, change lives.”
