Sorbonne University, France. Nathalie Drach-Temam has been elected president of Sorbonne University by the university’s new board of directors, and will begin a second four-year term as the university’s president. With an academic background in mathematics, Nathalie has been a professor in computer science at Sorbonne University since 2004. She previously taught and carried out research at the University of Rennes, University Paris-Sud and Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology. Her area of expertise is processor design, the key to all computer systems, taking into account both hardware and software dimensions. She has coordinated numerous national and international academic and industrial projects and is currently a member of European and national networks of excellence and experts. As President of Sorbonne University since 2021, Nathalie will pursue the work undertaken in scientific strategy, innovation, societal outreach and internationally and will implement the university’s new institutional plan (2025-29).
