ISN Nice, France. Mel Curtis joined Globeducate as Director General of ISN Nice in November 2020, succeeding predecessor Pascal Ashkar as Principal. She has enjoyed a varied career in education, spanning more than 30 years, and has been a teacher, Principal and Chief Education Officer across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. She has led a number of dynamic, outstanding community schools. Mel has moved to Nice from her most recent leadership roles with Nord Anglia Education as Principal in Switzerland, Czech Republic, and before that, in the USA. Prior to this, as GEMS Chief Academic Officer for Europe, she was based in Switzerland and was responsible for all academic processes, curriculum development, teacher training, innovating learning spaces, and recruitment. With extensive experience of a wide range of curricula, and specialising in the IB, she managed the acquisition and introduction of an International Pedagogy in teaching and learning (IB) with the French Bac and FLE at École des Roches in France.
