Mougins School, France. James Wellings was appointed as Head of School at Mougins School in France in April. The former Deputy Director of the International School of Monaco joined the school shortly after its acquisition by Globeducate in January. James has held leadership positions in the Middle East and Asia, including roles as Deputy Head and Director of Learning and Innovation at Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur and Assistant Head of Secondary at Wellington International School in Dubai. He is passionate about innovative teaching methods characterised by a strong focus on students, the development of their wellbeing, and the quality of their learning, and led an award-winning Apple Distinguished Programme, achieving Apple Distinguished School status in 2018, as well as being a winner of the Pearson 21^st-century Learning Global Innovation Award in 2017.
