Ian Robinson joined HSBC’s Public Sector & Education sector team in 2018 as a Director working specifically with public sector and education institutions covering both higher education and independent schools. While funding growth through debt capital markets and bank lending, Ian and the team work closely with HSBC’s emerging talent team to develop the employability of students, the financial wellbeing team to help students, management and academics and other teams including sustainability, cash management, real estate and technology focusing on the rise of EdTech. Ian also leads the development of the international footprint aligning to the education sector which is supported by HSBC’s global footprint. Working with countries across the globe to facilitate introductions, new campus development, student recruitment and research, Ian aims to help institutions develop their plans for future success.
