City St. George’s, University of London, UK. Diana Beech has been appointed City St. George’s, University of London’s inaugural director of the Finsbury Institute, its new public policy body. Diana will also take on the role of professor of policy and government affairs and associate vice-president for policy and government affairs. Diana has held several policy roles in UK higher education and national government, most recently as CEO of London Higher. Prior to this, she was policy adviser to three UK universities and science ministers, head of government affairs at the University of Warwick and the first director of policy and advocacy at the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI). On starting her new role, Diana said: “I’m delighted to join the freshly merged university of business, practice and the professions and am excited to get going shaping the Finsbury Institute and connecting with the policymakers, industries and communities around us.”
