Convera, Australia. Callum Cowell has joined Convera as head of education, Japan. Based in Perth, Western Australia, Callum will work with Convera’s APAC education team to develop and expand partnerships with Japanese universities and international education organisations, while regularly visiting its Tokyo office and partners across Japan. He brings extensive experience in Japanese higher education and senior international roles at universities in Australia and the UK, most recently as dean of Birmingham International Academy at the University of Birmingham, as well as a personal connection with Japan stretching back more than 30 years. “I’m delighted to be actively working with Japanese institutions again, something which, of course, is giving my Japanese language a real workout,” he said.
