GSV Ventures, US. Adam Freed has joined GSV Ventures as Managing Partner as the company launched its Fund III capital raise. As a linguistics major at Harvard, Adam speaks 11 languages. He started his career as a reporter, then did a stint at Yale Law and transitioned into tech. Adam joined Google in 2002 when the company was private and had fewer than 1,000 employees. During his six years at Google, he ran International Product Management and International Online Sales Operations. In 2014, Adam joined as CEO at Teachers Pay Teachers, the world’s first and largest open marketplace for K-12 educators to buy, sell and share their original resources. In August of 2018, Adam moved to Executive Chair of the TpT board and also sits on the board of Cambium Learning Group. Adam has been described as a great friend of the company for several years and a “test driving” partnership in the weekly Investment Committee for the last six months.
