“BSC Education will cease trading and enter liquidation,” the organisation wrote in communications to agents and partners, seen by The PIE News.
The group did not disclose details of the liquidation or the reasons behind it, but told partners that its “immediate priority is supporting all current students and those with upcoming bookings”.
It said it is “working closely with English UK and relevant industry partners to make arrangements for students to continue their studies wherever possible, including transfers to alternative schools”.
BSC Education is an international English language school group with accredited centres in the UK, Malta, and Kuwait, as well as an online school. Its schools host adult students, young learners, and teachers from around the world.
The news comes at a difficult time for the English language sector, following EC English Language Centres’ confirmation that it is closing all 25 of its language schools across seven destinations with immediate effect.
In same week as EC closed, Canada’s ILAC Education Group announced it had made the “difficult decision” to conclude its operations.
The PIE News has contacted BSC Education for comment and will update this article with any response. This is a breaking news story. Please check back for updates…
