The latest Arabic-taught MBA offered by the University of the People makes US higher education accessible to more than 24,000 Arabic-speaking students and 10,000 refugees.

With more than 16,000 business schools enrolling students around the world, the quality and value of a business degree is variable. Even though demand for business degrees remains steady, the world’s leading business schools are still in a race to remain relevant. Natalie Marsh reports.

University of the People, the tuition-free, accredited online university, is launching what it has said will be the world’s most cost-effective MBA programme. The course will begin teaching a cohort of 100 students from September.

The University of the People, the non-profit, tuition-free online university, has received a $1m donation from Fondation Hoffmann that will help it to provide scholarships for Syrian refugees.

Non-profit, online institution the University of the People will team up with Microsoft's 4Afrika Initiative to offer 1,000 scholarships to students across Africa. The news follows recent research from eLearning Africa that shows HE stakeholders believe mobile technologies are a dominant "change driver".
