Coursera rolls out fees for graded assignments

Leading MOOC platform Coursera has announced it will begin charging students to submit assignments for grading in certain courses, in its latest move to generate revenue from the thousands of free online courses supported by the platform and created by 120 top universities.

Myanmar ed budget doubles; UK fortifies ties

A symposium of higher education institutions and agencies from Britain and Myanmar – including British Council, the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education and the Quality Assurance Agency – met in the city of Yangon, Myanmar earlier this week to discuss ways of building academic partnerships between both countries.

British Council in UOL exams deal

The British Council has signed an agreement formalising its delivery of University of London (UOL) exams in 75 of its overseas centres, taken as part of UOL's International Programmes which are taken by students in 190 countries. Standardised pricing will also be introduced.
