Booking data from student travel site StudentUniverse shows students from the UK and US have not been deterred by terrorism attacks in their chosen travel destinations.
Flight Centre Travel Group, a global travel agency, has acquired StudentUniverse for $28m, marking its further expansion into the booming youth travel industry. The acquisition will enable StudentUniverse to scale worldwide as well as grow within existing markets.
The Erasmus Student Network has partnered with travel-booking platform, StudentUniverse, in order to provide its members with further travel discounts.
Students from the US have ranked courses in Costa Rica, Australia and Ireland as the best study abroad programmes in the Abroad101 2014 Study Abroad Rankings. The review website also announced listings of students’ top choices for summer programmes, foodie cities and budget destinations.
