The new data also reveals the most popular individual institutions, in search terms, among US students. One Irish and one Australian university were in the top 10.
Google search data from Net Natives on leading student source countries reveals when university education is at the front of students’ minds and follows additonal Google search data recently released by the BBC revealing the world's most searched-for universities.
The UK's position as the world's number two study destination was confirmed this week by new Google-led insight into student searches online into education opportunities, but the report predicts that demand for a UK education will shift toward transnational and online programmes.
