English Australia and English USA, the representative bodies for the English language teaching sectors in each country, have both appointed new executive leaders. Cheryl Delk Le-Good and Brett Blacker spoke with The PIE News about their new roles.
Last week's sixth annual EnglishUSA Professional Development Conference was the biggest of its kind with attendance up by almost a third on last year. One hundred seventy five delegates attended the event in San Francisco denoting the organisation's first meeting since last year's deadline for all IEPs to be accredited.
The recent IEP Stakeholders Conference revealed that the rush to meet the accreditation deadline of December 15 has meant significant workload for quality assurance agencies and IEPs themselves. The process has been largely positive, and SEVP is engaging with the sector on further regulatory reform.
