ELS partners with SKEMA, eyes Europe expansion

The international pathways operator ELS has launched its first centre in Europe through a partnership with SKEMA Business School in France, and says it now plans to expand on the continent. The company now wants to explore further partnerships in France, as well as Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

USA: ELS backs Scholar Rescue Fund

US English language giant ELS Educational Services is teaming up with IIE to support foreign scholars in crisis. The company will offer full tuition scholarships to those supported by IIE's Scholar Rescue Fund (SRF), to help them quickly achieve the English necessary for tertiary study in the USA.

ELS signs with SKEMA to offer pathway in France

ELS Educational Services has announced the opening of its first English language pathway programme in Europe. The Berlitz-owned company represents a major network of IEPs, with 63 centres in the USA (predominantly), Canada and Australia. Partnering with global operator SKEMA Business School in France, the new venture will open early 2013.

As the international education business grows rapidly, companies in the industry are increasingly using initiatives to keep their staff engaged, motivated and loyal – from team-building exercises and in-house training, through to staff conferences, motivational speakers and straightforward bonus schemes.
