Brisbane’s Airport Ambassadors welcome students

Study Brisbane is going the extra mile to welcome international students to the city, as 100 volunteer Airport Ambassadors will greet up to 15,000 foreign students arriving between now and the end of March. Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said he wants "all international students to feel at home".

Remembrance for Korean student killed in Brisbane

Around 500 people attended a memorial service last week for a Korean international student who was killed in Brisbane at the weekend. The Afternoon of Remembrance was held at Wickham Park in Brisbane's CBD, where the body of English student, 22 year old Eunji Ban, was discovered on Sunday morning.

Brisbane holds student friendship ceremonies

Study Brisbane is holding another series of Student Friendship Ceremonies which are designed to ensure that international students feel welcome in the state and retain links with the city long after graduated. Brisbane's Lord Mayor Graham Quirk attended an event last week at Griffith University's Nathan Campus.
