Australia has unveiled its bold new strategy and multiple aims for its international education sector, its third-largest export industry. This includes an ambition to develop, enhance and grow the onshore sector to welcome up to 720,000 students.
International student recruitment fair organiser, FPP EDU Media, has signed an agreement with the Australian trade commission, Austrade, to provide Australian government-led pavilions at its fairs in Latin America.
Australia’s trade commission has set the ambitious target of doubling onshore international students in its market development plan, Australian International Education 2025. Industry stakeholders have responded with cautious optimism, wary of current accommodation and public perception problems.
