The StudyLingua group has a new member, as it emerged that it has acquired French-Swiss language travel agency Aventure Linguistique.

The move is set to strengthen the latter’s position as a “leading agency” in French-speaking Switzerland for language trips, and expands the former’s firmly established roots as a mainstay for study travel offerings in the country.

Aventure Linguistique offers bespoke programs overseas for over 10 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Korean and Arabic.

The programs can be found in over 30 different countries, including in Asia and Latin America, offered to both adults and children. It also offers professional courses.

“From now on, [Aventure Linguistique’s] customers will be able to benefit from the individualised services offered by the experienced travel consultants of Pro Linguis Séjours linguistiques,” the statement confirmed.

Pro Linguis Séjours linguistiques, which was founded in 1955, is another brand under the StudyLingua Group’s umbrella.

It’s likely this will only add to the wealth of experience in Aventure Linguistique’s current team, which also offer specific programs, one being “Chez le professeur privé” – where students undertake a private language course in the teacher’s own home.

“Aventure Linguistique’s travel consultants all have personal travel experience”

It also offers work and study trips, where students can complete work placements or volunteer programs along with language study, and “Demi-pair” trips – “combining language courses in the morning with help for the host family by looking after the children and doing some household chores”.

“Aventure Linguistique’s travel consultants all have personal travel experience, having already taken part in one or more language study holidays themselves.

“[The] partner language schools around the world all stand out for their high-quality language courses and are visited regularly by Aventure Linguistique staff,” the announcement added.

The move comes just over four years after its expansion into Germany, when it acquired DIALOG-Sprachreisen.

The cost of the Aventure Linguistique acquisition has not been disclosed. StudyLingua and Aventure Linguistique have been approached for comment.
