International students will enrol at the university’s International Study Center from the autumn intake this year.

Students will take acculturation courses along with intensive English for academic purposes and general studies courses before transitioning into the second year of a four year degree at the university.

Emily Williams Knight, Study Group higher education North America’s managing director, said the location will give students access to major corporations headquartered in Atlanta, making the pathway route “highly distinctive and ideal for the ambitious career-minded scholar”.

“We look forward to having our students succeed through this unique partnership”

“We look forward to having our students succeed through this unique partnership,” she added.

Study Group will provide global recruitment services as part of the partnership.

Oglethorpe University is a private, liberal arts university in the state of Georgia. It enrols students from 33 countries around the world but aims to increase its international diversity.

“As part of our globalisation strategy, choosing the right pathway partner was important,” said Lawrence Schall, the university’s president.

“We are excited to be working with Study Group, who was chosen for their managed growth approach and keen global expertise that will help us achieve the international aspects of our long-range plan.”

This new partnership is Study Group’s 11th in the US, after it announced City College of New York and Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi as partners last July.
