Roehampton, UK, signs online deal with Laureate

Laureate International Universities, one of the world’s biggest private university chains, is to deliver a suite of new online degrees for The University of Roehampton, UK. The partnership, to be delivered by subsidiary Laureate Online Education BV, will enable Roehampton to offer its graduate programmes to working adults around the world.

Roehampton’s vice-chancellor, Professor Paul O’Prey, said: “We are delighted with this partnership, which means that in the future a great many students around the world will be able to study for a Roehampton degree by using the latest technology and online pedagogy.”

Laureate International Universities is a global network of 60 accredited campus-based and online universities, providing undergraduate and graduate programmes for 675,000 students in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

In the UK it is best known as the eLearning partner to the University of Liverpool, for which it delivers online postgraduate programmes in more than 130 countries.

The initial programmes with Roehampton will include an online MBA, MSc in Project Management and MSc in Information Systems Management, all due to commence in Autumn 2012.

“Our relationship with the University of Roehampton will expand access to quality online higher education programmes designed to meet employer needs in our global economy,” said Norman Bloomberg, chief operating officer at Laureate Online Education BV.

  1. Why is it that now I have done a course with Laureate through you I cannot get the learning outcome the university I have applied to has requested to be able to transfer my credits. This problem have held me up for an entire year.
