Ukraine’s demand for English language teaching is growing, and so is its interest for study abroad

Ukraine’s demand for English language teaching is growing, and so is its interest for study abroad, NCUK said in a statement.

To cater for heightened demand for international education, the program will teach the NCUK International Foundation Year, which offers a guaranteed progression to one of the 16 NCUK universities and is increasingly recognised in the US and Australia.

The first cohort will start in October 2018.

“NCUK already has a diverse student base by nationality and subject and this was something we specifically set out to achieve as part of our current strategy,” Georgina Jones, NCUK Market Development director told The PIE News.

“Transnational Education is an important part of what we do at BSC”

“Our new Partnership in Ukraine, as with those in Peru, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt is further evidence of the growing demand for NCUK’s qualifications and university admissions support.”

For BSC, the new partnership will allow it to strengthen its transnational education presence.

“Transnational Education is an important part of what we do at BSC.

“We work hard to ensure our standards across the world are met and BSC Ukraine is a perfect example of this,” BSC Group managing director for Transnational Education Steve Phillips said in a statement.

“We are delighted they are taking the next step by introducing pathway programs.”

On a regional level, BSC Ukraine has plans with NCUK to extend its international presence, teaching students not only from Ukraine but from nearby countries such as Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The partnership will be formally launched with a celebration at the Ambassador’s residence in September with staff from NCUK, BSC Group and the NCUK Universities – which include the University of Manchester, the University of Sheffield and the University of Leeds.
