New online booking site for language stays

Founders of the student review website MyLanguageTravel.com are preparing to launch a second portal that will allow students keen to study a language overseas to search for, compare and book language courses directly.

Pages in English and French will be rolled out first with Spanish, German and Italian to follow

Maxlanguages.com aims to offer students competitive pricing, an easy booking process and a secure payment system for 300 to 400 language schools globally, promoting “immersion” courses for various languages.

“Launching a booking platform such as Maxlangauges.com is a natural evolution for our company,” explained founder and manager Maxime Braire. “We have great expertise of the markets as well as an in-depth knowledge and know-how of search engine marketing.”

“The trend of online booking and reservations is unavoidable in all sectors”

Launched in 2009, the France-based company’s flagship website, MyLanguageTravel.com, has received more than a million visitors and is available in 20 languages.

While Braire concedes that there is still a demand to book in person at a local agency, the new website intends to make it easier for students to search and compare products and book online than other systems available on individual agency or language school websites.

“The trend of online booking and reservations is unavoidable in all sectors,” he said.

The site is expected to launch by summer with 50 to 75 language schools listed, adding  300 to 400 permanently featured schools “over time”, Braire commented.

Pages in English and French will be rolled out first with Spanish, German and Italian versions to follow. Braire hopes to attract at least 250,000 visitors in the first year.
