ILSC in deal with Quad Partners to fund growth plans

One of Canada’s most sizable international education businesses, ILSC Education Group has entered into a strategic, financial and advisory partnership with private strategic investment firm Quad Partners. The deal will enable ILSC to expand its global footprint.

It has been a busy year for ILSC as it opened its eighth school this summer in New York City

ILSC's management team will continue to manage every aspect of its schools

After a year of strong growth, Toronto-based ILSC – which offers language, internship, and pathway programmes in Canada, the US, India and Australia – has partnered with the New York-based investment firm as it plans to scale up the business further, improve quality, and expand its course offerings and global locations.

ILSC’s management team will continue to manage every aspect of its schools and Paul Schroeder, President and CEO, and Paul Zysman, Chairman, remain shareholders and will continue to lead the management, strategic direction and operations of the company.

“Our new strategic partnership enhances resources available to ILSC as we continue to pursue our growth objective of having more programmes and location options”

“Our new strategic partnership with Quad Partners enhances resources available to ILSC as we continue to pursue our growth objective of having more programmes and more location options available to our recruitment partners and international students,” Schroeder told The PIE News.

“In 2015 we will be focusing on expanding our presence in the US and further development of our programming for juniors,” he added.

Quad Partners specialises in education investment and currently has partnerships with other education providers such as the Swedish Institute, Beckfield College and Blue Cliff College, all operating in cities throughout the US.

It has been a busy year for ILSC as it opened its eighth school this summer in New York, completed a major renovation at its Brisbane school and expanded its Sydney school to double the number of classrooms.

The group offers language and career skills training and certification programmes to over 12,000 students annually.

Its ILSC Business College in Australia also doubled its number of course offerings and Greystone College which operates in Vancouver and Toronto, launched a suite of targeted co-op programmes in Business, Customer Service, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Another key area of focus has been growing the number of university and college partners available to ILSC University Pathway students in Canada, the USA and Australia.
