The IHWO network now has 158 affiliate schools in 52 countries

IH Jesi, IH Recanati, IH Ancona, all located in eastern Italy, have joined International House’s portfolio, along with IH Reggio Calabria.

The IHWO network now has 158 affiliate schools in 52 countries.

“We have always found it useful to learn from, and share ideas with, other schools in different contexts”

IH Jesi and IH Recanati were established in 1997 and 2012, respectively.

Along with IH Ancona, which was founded this year, the three education institutions all form The Victoria Company group.

As certified members of the Association of Italian Language Schools, the institutions are also an examination centre for Trinity College London and Cambridge ESOL as well as an IELTS preparation centre.

Giuseppe Romagnoli, director of IH Jesi, said that joining IHWO was the next logical step for the school.

“This has long been an ambition of mine, and vindicates all the hard work, energy and passion that have been collectively put into our organisation by our staff over the years,” he said.

IH Reggio Calabria meanwhile was founded in 1964, and is also one of the largest Cambridge authorised centres in the south of Italy.

“We have always found it useful to learn from, and share ideas with, other schools in different contexts,” said Patrizia Quattrone, the school’s director, adding that they “decided to join an international network of schools to further develop our school and its staff”.

Earlier this year, IHWO added IH Chiang Mai in Thailand to its portfolio – its second school in the country.
