IH Amman, IH Freiburg – Sprachschule zum Ehrstein and IH Köln – Insula joined the brand at the start of the year.

IH Amman is IHWO’s first school in Jordan. It offers classes in the languages of English, German and Arabic, and is located in the university area of Amman.

“We are delighted to see the presence of the network expand worldwide”

International House World Organisation now also has six affiliate schools in Germany, with the addition of IH Freiburg – Sprachschule zum Ehrstein and IH Köln – Insula.

Both schools focus on German as a foreign language.

Katarina Witt, owner of IH Köln – Insula, said that this recognition is something she has been striving for.

“I’m immensely happy for the recognition the school gets when being named IH,” she said.

The school has been operating since 2007, and also offers teacher training with the Teacher Training Institute Freiburg.

IH Freiburg – Sprachschule zum Ehrstein, established in 1999, is located close to the University of Freiburg, and specialises in preparing international students for German universities’ admissions tests.

“We had a great start to 2016 with the addition of these unique schools and we are delighted to see the presence of the network expand worldwide,” said Lucy Horsefield, COO of IHWO.

IHWO was established in 2003 in order to manage the IH schools’ global network.

At the end of last year, four affiliate schools were added to the company’s brand in Italy, and the organisation also welcomed a new school in Thailand at the start of 2015.
