“Young people are leading the fight to protect the planet”

The students will also learn more about climate action as part of their lessons and will be able to vote in class for the charities who will offset the carbon emissions.

IH London has a full course focused on the Sustainable Development Goals that are part of the UN’s blueprint to achieve a more sustainable future for all by 2030.

The ‘Future Leaders World Leader’ course is one of four Future Leaders courses offered by IH London for ages 14-17.

The courses are in English, and the Future Leaders World Leader course is designed for the next global leaders to help build a better world.

“IH London believes in international communication and creating communities across borders,” said Stephen Buswell, Young Learners operations manager for IH London.

“Young people are leading the fight to protect the planet and we want to stand with them.”

Global event strategist at the United Nations SDG Action Campaign, Hannah Messenger, said that by providing a dedicated course and offsetting the emissions for international students to travel, IH young learners are already working towards achieving some important SDGs.

“The youth of today will become the leaders of tomorrow. Every effort to inspire, mobilise and connect these Future Leaders will pave the way to the achievement of Agenda 2030,” she added.

IH London has five young learner summer schools across the UK: Ellesmere, Moulton, Frensham, Oxford and Edinburgh.
