IALC adds Italian and UK/Irish members

The International Association of Language Centres (IALC) has announced two new members are joining its association, which only allows quality-checked independent schools to join. This takes total membership to 113 and means the first new members since IALC announced a revision to its controlled membership criteria for new applicants.

The southern Italian destination of Tropea, home to Piccola Universita, is described as the "Pearl of Calabria"

"Our latest members demonstrate the range of independent language schools perfectly."

Agents working with IALC schools will be pleased to see that the idyllic location of Tropea in southern Italy is now represented by Piccola Universita Tropea, while other new member, CES, represents family-run English language schools in the UK and Ireland.

Simone Rainer of Piccola Universita said, “I believe in quality and customer satisfaction.. it was definitely the right decision to join IALC. We are looking forward to be able to benefit from the network and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the association of leading language schools worldwide.”

And Justin Quinn, part of the family team running five CES schools in Worthing, Leeds, Oxford, London and Dublin, said, “CES is delighted to be joining IALC. It has always been an aspiration of mine to be part of this great organisation with so many great schools and people.”

Current member, Mandarin House in China, has also opened a third campus in Guangzhou and therefore this branch of the school will be subject to the same strict quality checks that new members also have to undergo.

A spokesperson for IALC, headquartered in the UK, said, “IALC is an association of independent language schools, ranging from single centres to small family-owned chains. Our latest members demonstrate the range perfectly.”
