"HEC has more experience with diverse international alliances than just about any other"

“We are always excited at the prospect of a new academic partnership, and this one is no exception”

This brings the Network’s total number of members to 25, including founding members INSEAD and NUS Business School.

The network, established by the Yale School of Management, promotes exchanges between professors, students and alumni, as well as research into global business issues.

“HEC is not only one of the leading business schools in the world, it is also one that has more experience with diverse international alliances than just about any other,” David Bach, Senior Associate Dean for Executive MBA and Global Programs of the Yale School of Management, said.

“That is why the school’s decision to join the Global Network for Advanced Management is such a strong endorsement of the novel and innovative character of this project,” he continued.

Bach said that he is looking forward to HEC’s participation in future initiatives including the Global Network Week that organises exchanges within the network allowing students to attend lectures and courses at member universities.

Students cover topics as diverse as doing business in China, behavioural economics and globalisation challenges facing Japanese businesses.

The network also collaborates to provide Global Network Courses– for-credit courses taught online by a member school that are open to all students attending one of the participating institutions.

“Students across the network should be excited that they will soon be able to benefit from HEC’s unique strengths,” he added.

Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC Paris, said: “It is an honour for HEC Paris to be joining other leading business schools in this network. The opportunity to share and confront our views on the global markets with other major business schools is one which we will relish greatly.

“We are always excited at the prospect of a new academic partnership, and this one is no exception.”
