Language teaching chain Eurocentres has moved its London school to new premises in the grounds of Eltham Palace, the childhood home of King Henry VIII. The new teaching centre will feature state-of-the-art classrooms within 25 minutes of central London.

Switzerland-based Eurocentres has a long history in language teaching and opened its Lee Green centre in 1977, billed as the first school purposely designed for language learning.

“With the launch of Eurocentres London Eltham we are delighted to once again demonstrate Eurocentres’ status as an industry leader, committed to providing the best possible student experience,” said Michael C Gerber, CEO of Eurocentres.

A spokesperson for Eurocentres said that the new centre could accommodate up to 240 students. While there will be no on-site accommodation, host families in the local area and hall of residence 15 minutes away will offer accommodation.
