US pathway programs that combine English language and academic preparation with credit-bearing university classes and ‘Friends of EnglishUSA’ will now be eligible for membership.

“These changes will expand outreach and support for all types of English language programs and individuals”

The announcement marks a move from current university, college, and community-college governed program, and private independent single and multi-site program members.

As a new category of engagement, Friends of EnglishUSA will support individuals, independent consultants, freelancers, and independent contractors in the English language program industry.

“These changes will expand outreach and support for all types of English language programs and individuals working in the field,” said Cheryl Delk-Le Good, executive director of EnglishUSA.

“We hope to continue raising awareness of the importance of the English language program industry for attracting international students to United States, and we want to expand networking opportunities, especially given the difficult market conditions we are experiencing.”

IEP and pathway program memberships run from July 1 to June 30, 2021.

Individuals can apply to be Friends of EnglishUSA at any time throughout the year for a 1-year membership, and new eligible Friends of EnglishUSA can benefit from a 50% discount through to October 1, 2020.
