“As an education provider with a proven track record, not just a super agency, we understand the needs of universities; the academic standards, admissions criteria, visa compliance, retention, conversion, and the overall importance of student outcomes,” Allen added.

The company officially launched in the UK on February 10, having recently welcomed Gareth Topp as its new director of Business Development for UK and Europe. Topp has previously held roles at a range of UK institutions including at the University of Brighton, the University of Sussex and the University of York, in addition to positions at the British Council.

Speaking at a recent PIE Webinar, senior vice president of EduCo Adam Roberts said that if institutions want to increase conversion and retention, they need to go “back to the start of the cycle and making sure the right students are applying”.

Speaking on the new partnership, head of International at the University of Roehampton Neil Haddock, said the institution is “looking forward to a long and successful partnership”.

“We believe the combination of Accelerate’s technology, in-market staff and experience will help us reach more international students whilst improving upon conversion, retention and satisfaction rates,” he noted.

EduCo assists up to 30,000 international students each year to find their ideal study opportunities.
