The programs will focus on increasing access to international experiences

The partnership, launched in June, will see the two companies partner up to provider Employability Summits and short, half-day to multi-day professional development workshops to solidify both organisations’ Asian expertise.

“Leadership training is not always at the forefront of the academic experience”

“We wanted to be at the zenith of skill development and leadership training,” explained CRCC Asia’s director of global initiatives Dominic Palazzolo.

Common Purpose shared our mission and we dedicated the last six or so months in developing professional development seminars that will benefit our university partners and, most importantly, our participants.”

Both organisations have developed strong connections within the Asian region, with CRCC Asia offering a range of programs focused on work experience and Common Purpose developing leadership initiatives for students and professionals.

Palazzolo told The PIE News the partnership would see the combination of academic and professional training, connecting studies to employability.

“Skill development and leadership training are not always at the forefront of the academic experience,” he said.

“We wanted to provide a short-term, high-impact program that delivered consistent leadership training with Common Purpose, along with world-class skill development and in-country support from CRCC Asia.

The programs will also take a focus towards accessibility to allow more people to access international skills development, Palazzolo added.

Under the partnership, Common Purpose will deliver the professional development seminars, with CRCC Asia connecting participants to host companies, cultural activities and networking events.

The scope of each program is tailored around a broader event, such as the G20 Summit or the Summer and Winter Olympics, or the needs of an institution, Palazzolo said.

CRCC Asia is currently preparing to undertake initiatives within Japan focused on sports management in preparation for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
