École Polytechnique, France. Yves Laszlo has been appointed Provost of École Polytechnique. Formerly Deputy Director for Sciences at École Normale Supérieure de Paris, Yves is also appointed Chairman of the Academic and Research Committee of Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Yves holds a Doctorate degree in Mathematics from Paris-Sud University (1988), and is a specialist in Algebraic Geometry. Following a career as a research fellow at the French National Center for Scientific Research and then as a professor at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, he became an associate professor at École Polytechnique in 2004. Then, he became a professor at Paris-Sud University. From 2012 to 2019, he was Deputy Director for Sciences at École Normale Supérieure de Paris. In this role, he was in charge of teaching, research, real estate, human resources and all scientific-related matters at the school.
