University of Nottingham, UK. Ula Tang-Plowman has been appointed as the deputy director international student recruitment at the University of Nottingham, bringing with her 15 years of recruitment and partnership experience and knowledge of multiple regions including the East Asia, West Africa, Southeast Asia and UK. Being once an international student herself, Ula is an advocate of UK Higher Education. She has set up a number of successful TNE partnerships, summer schools, in-house English language tests and pathway programmes which helped thousands of international students gaining access to quality education to her previous employers including the University of Derby and the Aberystwyth University. Outside of her daily job, she founded the British Universities’ China Association from the ground up. On appointment of this role, Ula said: “I’m really excited and looking forward to meeting international students and partners of the University of Nottingham, the university is becoming a major global recruiter and will bring a positive impact to the home students and the city of Nottingham.”
