Tim Barker, the former managing director of the Language in Group, has been appointed first commercial director of StudyWorld. His appointment is the latest development in a period of rapid transformation for StudyWorld, initiated by its 2017 move to the iconic QEII Centre and becoming a UK-focused event. The event celebrates its 50th anniversary next year. Tim began his career at English UK member English in Totnes before moving on to the Language in Group, where he worked in sales and business development before becoming managing director. Most recently he has been working in Vietnam for Apollo Education and Training. Tim sees the potential of StudyWorld as an event, and wants to promote the positive message English UK aims to promote.
