University of Florida, US. Seth Parrish has been appointed as the new director of study abroad services at the University of Florida. He joins from his previous role as interim director of the study abroad department of the Loyola Marymount University in California, as previous to that, he was associate director of the North Caroline State University’s study abroad department. Of his new role, he said: “UF is a national leader in study abroad participation with over 3,000 outbound students per year and about 100 faculty-led programs. The academic ranking of the institution speaks for itself. More than that, the people at UF are exceptional. I am especially excited to work with the Study Abroad Services team at UF. It’s a treat to increase study abroad mobility alongside highly achieving, motivated, intelligent staff. I look forward to building on the work already being done to create an environment where staff, students, and faculty are fully supported as we build the best study abroad programs in the country.”
