Queen Mary University of London, UK. Salim has recently started a new role as senior lecturer in mechanical engineering, focusing on teaching and scholarship in the school of engineering and material science at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Salim brings over a decade of experience in transnational education and enhancing the student experience through active, research-led teaching across universities in Malaysia, Scotland, and Wales. His interests include real-life applications, neurodiversity, internationalisation and cultural awareness, and he is part of the Centre for Research in Engineering and Material Science at QMUL. Salim is a senior fellow of Advance HE, a Chartered Engineer, and continues to engage in external collaborations. He moves from Swansea University, where he served as the director of international partnerships in addition to being an associate professor of mechanical engineering. Salim said, “I hope to continue delivering educational innovation and exploring international collaborations to enhance engineering education research and scholarship, as well as foster global citizenship and mobility.”
