US-UK Fulbright Commission, UK. Rowena Boddington has been confirmed as executive director of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, following a period as interim executive director since November 2025. Rowena brings eight years’ experience as the Commission’s director of advising, where she led the State Department’s EducationUSA work in the UK, overseeing Europe’s largest US college fair, USA College Day, and helping thousands of prospective students navigate the US admissions process. As interim executive director, Rowena has led the Commission through a period of transition, strengthening its organisational foundations while maintaining its focus on expanding access to educational exchange. Her appointment comes as the commission looks ahead to its 80th anniversary in 2028. Rowena said: “I’m honoured to take on this role permanently. Having the chance to study in the USA changed the course of my own life, and I’m committed to opening doors for brilliant students and scholars, whatever their means.”
