University of Liverpool, Bengaluru, India. Professor Richard Grose has been appointed to lead the new University of Liverpool campus in Bengaluru, which is set to welcome its first students in August. Richard joins the university from Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), where he was a research group leader, deputy centre lead and professor of cancer cell biology. As dean for international within the QMUL Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Richard was also responsible for developing international links in research and education. He is committed to transnational education, serving as flying faculty on the QMUL-Nanchang joint program since 2018. In his new role, Richard will be responsible for the strategic leadership, academic development, culture, governance and management of the University of Liverpool, Bengaluru campus. He said: “Together, we will deliver the world-class education, research, knowledge exchange and enterprise for which the University of Liverpool is renowned, in the fantastic city of Bengaluru, one of the world’s fastest-growing knowledge economies.”
