University College London, UK. Preethi John has joined the UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) as an associate professor and deputy director of the MBA Health programme. After ten years at Chitkara University in Punjab, and launching a Women in Global Health India Chapter, she received the Harvard LEAD Fellowship; the only Asian recipient in the 2021 cohort to do so, before making the move to UCL GBSH. Preethi said of her new role: “I will be able open up a much bigger world to the students than what they have probably been exposed to before in the healthcare system. There are gaps in HR in healthcare, but I do not think there is enough evidence out there, so I hope to do more research to uncover this evidence as well as what evidence we can do better in HR in healthcare management. I also hope to contribute in developing more resilient HR, so that they’re not only capable of addressing their work, but also take care of themselves and face whatever life throws at us.”
