With over 15 years of experience in the international education sector, Nelson has built a strong, global profile. He was head of international student recruitment for a brand-new Australian university campus in Brisbane, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the campus’s international presence. Previous to that, he founded and directed an education agency in Chile and helped set up a higher education institute in Birmingham, UK. Additionally, he represented university groups in Taiwan and China, where recently spoke on a panel highlighting the employability of Chinese students in Australia. In his role as head of global engagement at Shafston, he drives strategic initiatives to attract international students and strengthen the institution’s global visibility. “I’m thrilled to be joining Shafston, a college which has been running for nearly 30 years.
