AACRAO, Global. The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers announced that Melanie Gottlieb has assumed the role of the next executive director of the board. Melanie is the first woman to hold the role of executive director in the association’s history after nearly six years as the deputy director. She assumes the role on a permanent basis after leading it through the pandemic in an interim capacity. Melanie came to the national AACRAO office after 18 years as an AACRAO member, with experience in records and registration, enrollment management and international recruitment and cdredential evaluation. She has served the association in a variety of leadership roles throughout her career, most recently as vice president for international Education on the AACRAO Board of Directors. She said upon the announcement: “The space in which we work is evolving quickly and we have an opportunity to have real impact on the success of our institutions and the students we serve. I’m excited to lead this work with our partners and members.”
