Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN), Australia. Professor Kent Anderson has stepped into the interim role of executive director for the Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN), comprised of Australia’s leading industry engaged universities, namely Curtin University, Deakin University, RMIT University, University of Newcastle, University of South Australia and UTS Sydney. The ATN advocates for policy that reflects its leading industry engagement, training of the workforce, applied research of real world problems, and taking Australian best practice globally through member campuses across the world. Kent formerly was deputy vice chancellor at ATN member University of Newcastle; senior advisor for higher education, research and international education for two Australian Commonwealth Ministers of Education; and a senior executive at three other Australian universities. He is a professor of Law and Asian Studies, and prior to academics was a commercial lawyer and airline marketing executive.
