Globeducate, UK. Katherine Tyler recently took on the newly created role of Group Safeguarding and Welfare Officer for Globeducate, moving from her role as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the group’s successful IB school, ICS London. Katherine brings many years’ experience and great expertise from her previous role. She has worked in education for 25 years, starting her careers as an English specialist. As Director of Studies for many ICS London summer schools her responsibilities included ensuring the safety and welfare of students from the age of three upwards. In international schools, many students speak multiple languages and Katherine is passionate about the importance that mother tongue languages play in language development, as part of welfare, and she has spoken about this subject at ECIS conferences. Katherine will work with school leaders in the nine countries where Globeducate has schools and will support schools in their duty to protect and keep students safe, healthy and well.
