University of California Riverside, US. Jean-Bernard has joined the University of California Riverside Extension to head its International Education Programs. He spent 24 years in England, first teaching at the University of Portsmouth, then creating and directing the Centre for Global Engagement at Coventry University, before finally becoming the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Director of Internationalisation at Canterbury Christ Church University. His new role focuses on the development and implementation of the international strategy for the UCR Extension and he will lead on international recruitment and program development strategies. The role spans from business development and stakeholder management to ensuring quality in teaching, learning and assessment, with a strong focus on professional experience development. He also looks forward to learning Spanish, the second language spoken widely in Southern California, and to growing cacti.
