Oxford University Press, UK. Oxford University Press (OUP) has appointed Ivan Kennes as global operations director for English assessment within its ELT division. Ivan brings over 15 years of international leadership experience across education, SaaS and credentialing, with a strong track record in transforming global delivery networks. Previously at ACT Education, he managed a $3M operations budget and led a network of 2,500 test centre staff, driving efficiency through Lean-Agile practices and automation. Ivan also pioneered the use of generative AI to scale operational performance – an area of growing strategic focus. His experience spans 90+ countries and includes digital transformation, public-private partnerships, and re-accreditation programs. Ivan is known for repositioning operations as strategic growth enablers, balancing cost, quality and compliance.
