University of Papua New Guinea. Professor Ian Findlay has started a new position as vice chancellor at the University of Papua New Guinea. Previously, Ian was president and vice-chancellor of the University of Puthisastra (UP), Cambodia, from August 2018. Before UP, Ian worked in health education, where he has been executive dean, health, for a number of major education providers. In research, Ian has over 50 publications in an array of journals including Nature, MJA and BMJ. He has also held professorial roles at the University of Queensland, University of Sunshine Coast, Griffith university and Central Queensland University. Having worked extensively in senior roles in higher education, skills-sector, research and the commercial world, Ian is passionate about the need to achieve best possible outcomes to fully equip work-ready students for our digitally led 21st Century.
