Institute for Study Abroad, US. Gretchen Cook-Anderson has started a new role as the inaugural associate vice president for career readiness & global industry partnerships at the Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA), where she leads the development and expansion of IFSA’s innovative Career Accelerator programs. With over 30 years in marketing and 15+ years in global education, Gretchen is driving IFSA’s efforts to address the college-to-career preparedness gap by fostering institutional relationships and industry linkages that will enhance the value of study abroad experiences. Prior to IFSA, she served as executive director of LabCentral Ignite, addressing the life sciences talent gap and as an associate VP at IES Abroad where her award-winning efforts expanded enrolment diversity 151%. Accolades include NAFSA’s inaugural Impact in Diversity Award and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s Life Sciences Workforce Task Force. She holds a BA from Spelman College and an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
