Abertay University, UK. Fahd Asif has joined Abertay University, leading the newly established International Operations Unit within the International Recruitment and Partnerships Office. Fahd returns to Scottish higher education after several years in Dubai with Invest Northern Ireland at the British Embassy, where he led education sector development and supported international trade, investment and partnership activity across the Middle East and Africa. Prior to this, he held roles at the University of Dundee and the University of Bradford, leading student recruitment, partnership development and market growth across a range of international markets. Fahd has also recently completed a Doctorate in International Education at the University of Dundee, exploring international student transitions, and will be graduating later this summer. Fahd said: “I’m delighted to be joining Abertay at such an exciting time in its international journey. I look forward to working with colleagues and partners around the world to support the University’s continued growth, global engagement and impact.”
