International House World Organisation, Global. IHWO has announced Emma Hoyle as its new managing director. Emma will be taking over from outgoing MD, Lucy Horsefield. She previously held the post of director of Marketing with LSI / IH Portsmouth. She took her CELTA with IH London in 2003 and later went on to get her DELTA. Emma graduated in International Business & French and before working in EFL, worked in marketing in the music and film industries, living in the US and France. “I can’t wait to get started and to meet everyone,” Emma said. “Lucy will be hard act to follow, but I relish the challenge ahead. My first priority will be getting to know my new colleagues and learning from them. Whilst I’ve got some ideas that I look forward to sharing, I first of all need to meet the affiliates and the wider IH family and do some listening.” Executive director of IHWO Monica Green added that Emma “will bring so much to both the role and to the global network of schools”. Emma officially starts her new role on October 10.
